Tap to Pay on Mobile Devices

Introducing Kickserv's newest feature: tap to pay for mobile devices! With our latest update, users will be able to again take contactless payments out in the field.

Note: Users must have an Android device running 7.0 and newer or an iPhone XS and newer.

Setting up Tap to Pay


To start using the tap to pay feature, follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure your Kickserv account is connected to a fully activated Stripe account.

Note: for a Stripe account to be fully activated, this includes filling out your complete company address in the Kickserv company information page, which includes your city, state, zip code, and country code.

  1. Make sure the mobile devices you want to use with tap to pay also support NFC technology.
  2. Lastly, note that all relevant payment permissions and device permissions apply. Employees will need the Kickserv permission to View and Create/Modify Payments. Android devices will need NFC enabled.

Using Tap to Pay


To use the tap to pay feature, follow the steps below:

  1. On your mobile device, select the Job you'd like to collect a payment on.
  2. Navigate to the Payments section and select Payments.

  1. Then, select the Tap to Pay button.


  1. Tap to pay will load to show that the NFC reader is ready. When it shows Reader connected!, select Proceed to payment.

  1. You'll then be taken to a screen showing your company's name, payment amount, a section to tap your NFC enabled credit card or device.

  1. Tap the card to the screen to complete the transaction. You'll get a Payment Successful message when the payment is complete.

  1. You'll now see the balance on the Job has been set to $0.00.
